This step allows you to get a smoother finish with the 3M Perfect-It polishes. 3M Trizact Hookit 6 Inch Foam Discs have foam backing that is able to bend against the curves and contours of your vehicle. During spot repair, this flexibility enables the discs to level scratches evenly, resulting in a uniform finish. 3M Trizact Hookit 6 Inch Foam Discs surpass other sanding discs thanks to their pyramid abrasives. The points of the pyramids wear down at an even rate, exposing fresh, sharp abrasives. This even wear pattern results in an even finish. When paint is applied over the blended area, the paint will lay down evenly and scratches will not show through. The blending discs promote excellent paint adhesion. If performing spot repair, follow 3M Trizact Hookit 6 Inch Foam Discs with 3M Perfect-It 6000 Swirl Mark Remover and a 3M Perfect-It Foam Polishing Pad. For large panel repair, 3M recommends using 3M Perfect-It Rubbing Compound (or Extra Cut Rubbing Compound for hard clear coats) after sanding but before using 3M Perfect-It 6000 Swirl Mark Remover.
