PROSOCO R-Guard AirDam is a waterproof sealant that combines the best properties of silicone and polyurethane. It is used as an interior air sealant around windows and doors to create a weather-tight seal that prevents outside moisture from getting in and conditioned indoor air from escaping. This helps to prevent water damage and energy loss. AirDam is a single-component, Silyl-Terminated-Polymer (STP) that is easy to apply with standard caulking tools, even in unfavorable weather conditions. It bonds tenaciously to all types of window and door frame materials, including painted metal. Once applied, AirDam quickly cures to produce a durable, high-performance, high-movement elastomeric sealant. AirDam is immediately waterproof and can be applied to dry or damp substrates, eliminating many weather-related construction delays and accelerating the “drying in” of new buildings. When used as an interior window sealant, AirDam can help reduce a building’s heating and cooling costs.
