3M Scotch 3340 Foil Tape: 2-1/2 in. x 50 yds. Silver – 3M 3340 Foil Tape is a high temperature, high strength aluminum foil tape coated with a cold weather acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive. This tape is constructed using a 2.0 mil aluminum foil backing with a strong, pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive for long-term adhesion, along with an easy releasing poly coated kraft paper liner to protect the adhesive and keep the tape ready for use. The aggressive acrylic adhesive performs in both cold and hot temperature conditions. An essential requirement for sealing ducts and other surfaces for heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems is foil tape that can stand up to hot and cold temperatures. The foil backing of 3M 3340 serves as an excellent barrier against moisture, dust, and many chemicals.
